THE EXPERIENCE

This route takes you from Green Park to Oxford Circus through some of London’s most famous and historical shopping areas. It begins on Piccadilly, an area that has always catered to the needs of a gentleman, before heading up Old and New Bond Street, which was designed in the 1700s for the high-class luxury shopper. It then makes its way to Regent Street and Carnaby Street, which have been associated with fashion and trendy shopping since the early 1800s, before concluding at Oxford Street, where shops and department stores cater to everyone.

THINGS TO BEAR IN MIND

  • The best time to do this route is in the early morning, especially on weekends when there are no crowds, the light is at its best, and you have the rest of the day ahead of you.

  • West End Shop opening hours - There are set opening hours; however, most shops are generally open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM on weekdays, with later hours on Thursdays and Saturdays, and shorter hours from around 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sundays.

  • Route – The route is on the streets which l become crowded after the shops open

  • Accessibility –  Crowded street in most areas after 11:00

FOOD AND DRINK LOCATIONS

This map shows you some of the places to eat and drink near the route.

The main area for food and drink will be around Kingly Street and Kingly Court and nearby on Heddon Street, and Moxon Street into Hanover Square. Further afield is Broadwick Street/ and West Soho. You can also find a wide selection on Dover Street and the streets to the east of Berkeley Square.

THINGS TO DO LOCATIONS


The primary activity on this route is shopping, and each of these shopping areas has its own unique character, charm, and price range. The main shopping streets on this route are Old Bond Street, New Bond Street, Canaby Street and Regent Street. However, at the start near Piccadilly, you have Jermyn Street and Savile Row for gentlemen's shopping, and at the end, you have Oxford Street with its large departmental stores. The Royal Academy of Arts on Piccadilly and the Halcyon Gallery cater to art lovers, while the Twist Museum and the Handel Hendrix House offer some great attractions for those who prefer not to shop.
